As the season of Samhain wraps us in its mystery, I’d love to share a bit of history that connects our present celebrations to those who walked before us.

Did You Know?​
In early Christian traditions, pilgrims would embark on long journeys by foot to honor All Saints' Day and All Souls Day. Along their way, they’d look for a glowing squash or pumpkin placed on a doorstep—a beacon signaling a welcoming Christian home. This light was more than just a lantern; it was an invitation. Pilgrims knew they could knock on that door, rest their weary feet, and receive a “soul cake,” which was essentially a doughnut for the spirit—a small but meaningful gift of nourishment, warmth, and connection.

Today, we continue this tradition of offering light and community, as we gather to honor the turning of the seasons, set intentions, and deepen our intuitive gifts.
